We are your home, if you want to
Whether actively on site, at home, or in the office.
Today is the big day of freedom for our foster hedgehogs ‘Mr. Moody’ and ‘Fat Berta’, whom we took in in July and nursed back to health for this day. We are a little wistful, as we have grown fond of the young hedgehogs
In the first few days, we could only observe the little white-breasted hedgehogs in the evening when they were eating, but they quickly lost their shyness and started coming to their food bowl during the day, becoming more and more trusting.
While enjoying our morning coffee on the terrace, our dogs suddenly start barking. In the middle of the garden path, a baby white-breasted hedgehog has curled up into a ball, which it shouldn't be doing at this time of day. Since we had already rescued another young hedgehog two days earlier, we took it to the office for a closer look.
The little white-breasted hedgehog weighed almost 270 grams, appeared healthy, and was completely free of ticks. She was stronger than ‘Mr. Moody’, whom we had found in the garden two days earlier, and was christened ‘Fat Berta’.
